On the reef there was a great silt masking the full reef – it looked like nuclear fallout. Does anybody know if this silt will kill the coral or if nature will move it off by some means – the recent did not appear to be shifting it about? It was very disheartening viewing all of the coral absolutely whited out with silt. Viz on the reef was approx twenty ft, but the silt was suspended in the h2o all the way out to the reef.
Also, we recognized lobster boats dropping new traps and checking them. Having said that, everywhere you go we went, there have been ‘balls’ of lobster traps all pushed jointly and tangled up by the storm that no one seemed to be doing nearly anything about. It is like they just deserted them and put out new traps. We checked a several ‘balls’ of traps and there have been dead or dying lobsters in all of the traps. Is anybody responsible for doing a little something with these lobster entice clusters?
